Thanks to all at the Pheasant Inn for a wonderful short break. Room, food, staff and location all excellent and the Sandstone Trail is a must for walkers/ramblers.

I think The Pheasant Inn is fantastic. I am not one for boasting but this place supplies excellent food and great hospitality. One of my top 10 places to eat.

We visited your establishment last night with some friends. This is about the fifth or sixth time in the last twelve months that we have made this pilgrimage from North Wales.  
Before I go on I would like to say that we are regular diners in various establishments including some Michelin starred restaurants and while those types of eateries have their place, The Pheasant is fast becoming our place of choice. This is down in our opinion to two or three outstanding factors. Firstly and in no order of importance, the place. Great ambience, decor and layout. Secondly, friendly, warm and welcoming staff who all manage to hit the right blend of efficiency and courtesy while presenting a genuinely friendly front. And last, but for us definitely the star of the last few visits, the food! I don't know where you found your chef but I feel you have a real gem running your kitchen. The standard of food coming out from there is exemplary both in its cooking and also its presentation. What we also love is the focus on seasonality and variation on the specials board. This for us, highlights that the chef is someone who really cares about his trade.
I should also add to this that you just happen to stock my favourite real ale, Weetwood Eastgate, pure nectar in a glass!
All in all a place and staff that you should congratulate yourself on. Many thanks for a great place, please ask your staff to keep up the good work.

Lovely atmosphere in a beautiful setting with delicious food and real ale. My husband and I can highly recommend the steak pie. Will be visiting again soon.
