A Bit of History
Check out Beeston and Peckforton castle and drop some coins down the 370ft deep well where legend has it that Richard II buried 100,000 marks in gold coin and 100,000 marks in other precious objects before he went on a trip to Ireland in 1399. On his return he was captured and eventually killed by Henry Bolinbroke, Duke of Lancaster (later Henry IV). Richard never had a chance to recover his treasure!

For the Sweet Tooth
As featured on the dessert section of our menu, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream is located 2 miles down the hill. There you can sample their whole range and feel extremely guilty afterwards. They've got loads of farm yard animals for the kids to look at which include llamas, pygmy goats, pot bellied pigs, mini sicilian donkeys, bantams, rabbits and guniea pigs - and of course not forgeting the cows that make the milk for the ice cream!

Discover Nature
Located at Cheshire Farm Ice Cream is Jimmy Squiral and his 'birds' as he likes to put it! He's got some great falcons, hawks and man eating owls (they're that big!). Jimmy and Mal do falconry day experiences - give him a call on 07888 730406 or visit the website at www.discovernature.co.uk
